French Caravan Tour 2010 A six week tour towing our caravan starting on Monday 16th August and ending on Monday 27th September avoiding toll roads and using ACSI card or Camping Cheques where possible. ( both offer off peak site discounts) Total Mileage 1702 -- (plus 692 miles touring from campsites ie 2394 miles grand total) Starting at Petit Appeville on the picturesque Alabaster Coast just south of Dieppe - worth exploring if the weather is right, unfortunately this year it wasn't.

Beaugency
A riverside campsite on the Loire opposite the town and within easy reach of several Chateaux does not accept ACSI or CC but it's only 9 Euro per night!!

Beaulieu sur Dordogne (ACSI)
Set on an island a short walk from the pretty old town of Beaulieu and a short drive to several villages listed as 'Plus Beaux Villages de France' The old town is illuminated at night and on Saturday there was a riverside country market followed by music and dancing

St Antonin Noble Val
A riverside site in the Gorge d l'Aveyron within walking distance to the town with an impresive Sunday market. Our friend has a holiday retreat in nearby Verfeil -for more information see details in links

St Paul de Fenouillet This campsite is on our favourite route from Foix to Perpignan and is close to the Gorge de Galamus and Chateaux at Perypertuse and Queribus. This picture is of the nearby hillside church at Camps sur l'Agly where neighbour's daughter and husband live in the Presbytery attached.

Igoville near St Adrien because of the difficulty accessing the campsite and the weather we decided to head straight for the ferry and home. St Adrien with its White Cliffs is just south of Rouen and a good stop for a short break and a cup of tea
